How To Collect Better Data on Product Onset & Duration

Let's collect better data on product onset and duration.

When considering a new product for a specific effect, common questions include:

  • How long will it take until I feel it?

  • How long will it last?

For cannabis-based products, another frequent question is: "Will I feel high?"

Unfortunately, the answers to these questions are often vague and based on guesswork. Typically determined by the product administration form.

We can do better.

Brand owners and product manufacturers have expressed the need for more accurate answers.

Our new software update focuses on collecting better data on product onset and duration.

In the coming weeks, we’ll launch campaigns with brands and formulators who seek this data.

Participants in these campaigns will notify us remotely when they are about to consume a product. We’ll gather data on their current state and schedule follow-ups at specific times post-consumption.

Historically, without conducting a live study with participants in the same physical location, retrospective reporting on onset and duration was required. Unless individuals kept a detailed journal, their answers were often guesses.

Now, we can collect this data closer to real-time.

While it is still human-reported and carries a margin of error, this approach promises more accurate and timely insights.

Some would say it’s MoreBetter than what we currently have ;)

A few areas we’re excited to collect better onset and duration data:

  • Edibles

  • Inhalables

  • Beverages

  • Judging competitions

If you believe we need better data around product onset and duration, reach out to us.

Let’s see how we can work together!
